What is the Bible about?

it is also prophecy. he means future jews in a future covenant. no mention of gentiles.
- There are only two main covenants:
- One in the past with sacrifices of animals!
- And the new one with the blood of Jesus!
- there is no more room for the old Jerusalem!
- only the new one, the heavenly Jerusalem!

Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months. And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. - The first time the temple appears in Revelation is in revelation 7:15!
- There we learn that those who are serving God in his temple come from the great tribulation!

before having a careful watch of revelation about the topic, i would like to mention this point:

- Everywhere in the Bible we find genealogical registers!
- But:
When the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D., the temple, with all of its archives and tribal genealogies, was completely destroyed, as well. Since that day, no Jewish person has been able to prove by written records his or her ancient genealogy.

People kept records, whether orally or written down about their genealogy. Ezra the scribe recites in one of the verses in the book of Ezra his ancestors going back about 15 generations. There were what are called “megilot yuchasin” which were parchment scrolls that had this information written down. Pedigree or in Hebrew, Yichus, was important from the days that the Jews wandered in the desert till the times of the second Temple. However, with the destruction of Israel, Judea and Jerusalem, many families perished, many houses were destroyed together wither content and those who were sold into slavery did not have the luxury of taking said scrolls with them. For those who this information was important to them such as the priests and Levites, they kept it up, maybe not remembering the details about which family from the tribe they came from (which was important when the Temple was in existence) but they knew that they were descendents of Kohanim or Leviim (priests or Levites).

The Talmud has many stories of Rabbis who knew exactly from which tribe and family they came from and there are even later Rabbis (such as the Abravenel and the Maharal i.e. the Luria family) that were able to trace their ancestry to king David. However, as Jews had many other things to worry about, like survival, Yichus (pedigree) was less important and we became all Jews (with the exception of the tribe of Levi).

Did Jesus have Jewish ancestry?

It would make his entire life story completely incomprehensible if he wasn’t Jewish.

For one thing, being Jewish is the very first most basic and completely non-negotiable condition for being annointed the King of Israel (messiah) and Jesus would not have had a snowflake’s chance in hell of claiming to be the messiah (anointed King) if he wasn’t even a member of the Jewish people.

No, they cannot. The Jewish linage was carefully documented from the time of Adam until the first century. There was a good reason for keeping such records because the Jews were expecting the Messiah to come through the linage of King David. In the first chapter of the bible book of Matthew, we find the genealogy of Jesus running from Abraham forward. Luke chapter three is a genealogy back to “Adam, son of God.”

There were many prophecies that were to be fulfilled in the promised Messiah, including his linage. Even the place of his birth was foretold.
