Mormon?

The link provided for the article is no longer working.

I discussed this a few years with a Mormon co-worker. At the time, he was quite happy to be known as a Mormon. I do recall him saying that the name was stigmatizing and he was getting in the habit of calling himself instead a Latter Day Saint.

@Matthias, the Mormons are fine folks, but their beliefs about God are way-off, thus making them a cult, not Christians. They believe in three gods: the Father, who has a physical body and lives in outer space on a planet; Jesus, who attained godhood with his works; and the Holy Spirit. HOWEVER, they do not believe that their god is ONE god. They also believe that good Mormons can gain godhood. Therefore, they have many gods, a belief called polytheism, definitely not Christian. We believe in a mysterious God, who is ONE God in three Persons, as the Bible presents him. His divine nature is a mystery that we can't figure out. Joseph Smith couldn't accept the mystery of God. As a result, he made up his own god.

Please tell me one thing that offends you about Calvinism, @Ben There. We are a cult the way Mormons are. If you are offended by the Calvinists' acceptance of the Trinity, you are also offended by most Christian churches, because they believe in that doctrine too.
