You hear the early Church was Post-Trib. Not true, since there were no well developed beliefs at that time. The main belief was Pre-Millenian, meaning all from Pre-Trib to Post-Trib.
The historical data for Pre-Trib is well stated here.
Pre-Trib was surpressed by the Catholic Church. They invented Amillenialism and declared all other beliefs illegal. In fact, for a very long time owning a Bible by layman was illegal. Plus any other version of the Bible but the Vulgate was illegal as well.
The Catholic Church did not begin with Peter. Nothing resembling the RCC existed until much later.
It began by legalization of Christianity by Emperor Constantine I in 313 AD. Then in 380 it was made the State Religion of Rome by Emperor Theodosius I.
Then the RCC took on the trappings of Pagan Rome and their system. History shows many in the early centuries strong rejected the idea of a Pope, etc.
Clearly, the idea that Pre-Trib didn't exist before 1830 is false claim.
The huge problem with every other theology is they do not read the Bible literally.
