Pre-Adamic Destruction is also covered in the Pre-Adamic Creation thread.

Genesis 1:1, contrary to what many think, is not part of the Six Days of Adamic Remaking. It is the initial creation of the earth and universe; Pre-Adamic Creation.

The purpose of this thread is to cover what happened in Genesis 1:2:
As covered in the Pre-Adamic thread, God created a perfect, complete and inhabited earth and the Universe.in Genensis 1:1.

In Genesis 1:2 they earth became formless, void, covered with water and the sky and the Universe were now dark.

What happened? The rebellion of Satan and the War in Heaven.
In Luke 10:18, Jesus, the Son of God himself said, "I saw Satan fall like lightening from heaven." Again, past tense.

We clearly see the progression of Satan. He:
    • was created more powerful and beautiful than any other angel
    • was given special place and duties
    • became prideful
    • wanted to take God's place
    • became violent
    • led a war against God. Notice the verses about laying low nation, etc, are past tense. Also note angels are in nations, they are a compnay of beings with God. Flesh beings live in nations, yet this is before the Adamaic Creation
    • was cast from heaven. Again, past tense
    • walked in Eden
    • vowed to return to heaven and overthrow God
    • Instead will be in the Pit. It is present tense, not past or future. That implies a process, not an immediate action
At no time since the forming of life on the earth has there ever been a time absent of life, human or animal. Nor will there be any such time until the destruction of this earth at the end of the Milliannial Kingdom and time.

As well this passage is not looking forward, but backward in time. So it must be before the Six Days.

The Bible is very clear there was an event and time between Genesis 1:1 and 1:3 where the earth was destroyed. No life remained and the ground was laid was and sunk below the waters of the earth.

I like to call this time the Pre-Adamic Destruction.
