Revelation 17:12-14 New International Version (NIV)
12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. 13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”
Daniel 9:26-27 New International Version (NIV)
26 After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the templed he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
Revelation 13:7 New International Version (NIV)
7 It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.
Many people believe this means one world government. It does not.
I already posted the verse says there were to the end. War requires an enemy.
But when you read the prophecies the AC army will be opposed by Western nations forced to turn back in his path for conquest at mid-tribulation. So he conquers Israel, with which he is had a peace treaty for 3 1/2 years giving them peace and security.
This is seven year treaty he breaks it mid-tribulation as stated in Daniel.
The definition of authority does not mean rulership in every case.
power of choice, liberty of doing as one pleases
leave or permission
physical and mental power
the ability or strength with which one is endued, which he either possesses or exercises
the power of authority (influence) and of right (privilege)
the power of rule or government (the power of him whose will and commands must be submitted to by others and obeyed)
authority over mankind
the power of judicial decisions
of authority to manage domestic affairs
a thing subject to authority or rule 4c
one who possesses authority 4c
a ruler, a human magistrate 4c
the leading and more powerful among created beings superior to man, spiritual potentates
a sign of the husband's authority over his wife
the veil with which propriety required a women to cover herself
Another problem area is the mark of the beast. Many say it means all will take the mark.
But dictating everyone takes the mark does not mean all will take Mark.
Revelation 13:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Revelation 20:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. Theya]">[a] had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
