Galatians 3:23-24 King James Version (KJV)
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

23 Now before the time for this trusting faithfulness came, we were imprisoned in subjection to the system which results from perverting the Torah into legalism, kept under guard until this yet-to-come trusting faithfulness would be revealed. 24 Accordingly, the Torah functioned as a custodian until the Messiah came, so that we might be declared righteous on the ground of trusting and being faithful.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
23 There was a time before faith thru Christ, there was always faith in the Lord it was shown thru following the law. We are not bound by the law as they were we are free thru the grace of the Lord because of Him dying on the cross for us. At that time faith was shown thru the law now our faith is not thru the law but thru Christ.
24 The law showed us how we are to live but also showed that we could not live how we are to live and that we have a need for the Lord. We can not be made justified by the law because we are guilty by the law but we are justified by our faith in Jesus.
