The millennial kingdom

The tribulation martyrs ARE THE 144,000 Christians killed for proclaiming the Gospel.
What Jew ever proclaimed the Gospel or even acknowledges Jesus?

Matthew, Mark, John, Peter, Saul (Paul) etc. ...
Matthew, Mark, John, Peter, Saul (Paul) etc. ... The moment they began preaching the Gospel they became Christians.

So as I posted: What Jew ever proclaimed the Gospel?

So many on this forum have no idea what Christianity is.

The only place where the 1,000 years are mentioned is in Revelation 20. Show me in the prophets where a specific reference to a future 1,000-year period occurs. There are none. It seems to me that people have tried to fit all the references about peace in the future into the future millennium. Rather, I think those references fit much better the final kingdom on the new earth, to which the new Jerusalem descends in Revelation 21 and 22.

Another more compelling interpretation is also that the end of Revelation 19 symbolically describes Jesus' second coming, and the next chapter begins a new vision that describes the present age symbolically as 1,000 years, in which God prevents Satan from hindering the spread of the gospel.

Of course, we can all be pan-millennialists, that is, it'll all pan out! :icon razz:

Rev 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.
Rev 20:2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.
Rev 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison
Rev 20:8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.

you just gave it.

plus Christ will rule from Jerusalem for 1000 years. pan mk, not biblical.

I submit that the numbers and events of Revelation are symbolic, the way they are in all the apocalyptic literature of that time, though Revelation is a series of inspired visions given to John. The number ten is used as a complete number. Therefore, 10 x 10 x 10 = 1,000, the complete time between Jesus' first and second comings. As a result, it isn't the literal, exact time that you make it out to be.

The pan-millennial remark was a joke, as the emoji suggests, but it points out that we will all find out when it happens, how it will happen. Maybe, you're right, and maybe I am. We have to wait and see. And no one will be pointing fingers at each other, because we will be in our perfect, resurrected bodies.

it has already been 2.000 years since the first coming, so your thinking is already disproven.

The number ten in Revelation is figurative as a complete number; so is three. When you multiply 10 x 10 x 10 three times, you get the complete number 1,000. It is the present complete number between Jesus first and second comings. How do I know? The end of Revelation 19 depicts Jesus' coming on a white horse executing his perfect justice on unbelievers. Then, Revelation 20 begins a new vision showing the devil's limits to be able to hamper the gospel's spread in the present age and that symbolic 1,000-year time ending in Jesus' final judgment on unbelievers, as Jesus also showed it in the last part of Matthew 25. Then, we get a tiny glimpse of the new universe in Revelation 21:1, which God creates out of this decaying, fallen one. Finally, the new Jerusalem, a picture of the Old and New Testament people of God, comes down with God to the new earth, after we are caught up to meet Jesus and the souls of believers who have died and after all of us are resurrected. We will then live in the new universe forever with our glorified, resurrected bodies. It seems to me that this view fits the Bible's prophecies the best.

Don't be too surprised if Jesus comes on the clouds of heaven with the souls of saints who have gone to heaven. We who are alive along with resurrected believers will rise to meet him in the air and welcome him back to the new earth (pictured in Revelation 21). The one day of judgment takes place (pictured in Revelation 20 and Matthew 25). Rebels will be exiled from God's kingdom. All resurrected believers will be ushered into the new earth, where God's final, bedazzling kingdom will be established and continue forever. I won't be surprised if your version happens either.

spirits, not souls.

in the new Jerusalem on the new earth.

no welcoming back
1) In your mind, what is the difference between spirits and souls?
2) Ah, we agree.
3) The word "meet" is only used of town citizens going out to meet a king or higher official who was coming to visit their city. They would welcome him back. Jesus would then accompany us back to the new earth in the new Jerusalem, pictured as the Old and New Testament believers (Revelation 21). God is shown in the city on the throne there in Revelation 22.

The nations that attacked Jerusalem at the second coming must go to the Temple annually and make offerings.
This point is a problem with a literal 1,000 years. Why would sacrifices be made at Jerusalem when Jesus' one sacrifice has finished all of them, according to the Book of Hebrews?

I have yet to see you get anything right. The 1,000 years is mentioned 6-7 times and when the word THE is used before it - it implies A LITERAL 7 YEARS!

Resurrected and raptured believers do NOT return with Jesus. Saints refer to ANGELS in those passages!

I meant to say a literal 1,000 years.

Now, the new Jerusalem descends toward the new earth in Revelation 21:2. It is dressed up like a bride, the Old and New Testament believers:
Rev 21:12 It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed—
Rev 21:13 on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.
Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
