Interview panels - Don Haddix - 10-15-2019 Page 5Council/Staff Topics It used to be all applicants are interviewed by a panel of the city manager, Chairman of the group interviewed for, mayor and two councilmembers picked by the mayor. The names selected by the panel went before the Council for approval or rejection. Nothing stops the councilmembers from seeing the applications. All five on the panel quote so there is no tie-breaking. If one member of the panel cannot make it, the interview is rescheduled. Sounds like another effort to fix what is not broken. It also takes away transparency on the process. https://www.peachtree-city.org/DocumentCenter/View/16013/10172019RegularMeeting?bidId= |
