Romans 15:4-6
KJV 4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

4 For everything written in the past was written to teach us, so that with the encouragement of the Tanakh we might patiently hold on to our hope. 5 And may God, the source of encouragement and patience, give you the same attitude among yourselves as the Messiah Yeshua had, 6 so that with one accord and with one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
4 Those who penned scripture first learned the scripture so they could put it to paper. Scripture should give us hope, His name is Jesus. Scripture should change us because of the hope in Christ. It should give us a sense of a heavy burden being lifted as Christ helps us carry it. This does not mean scripture will not convict us. When we are doing wrong we need to be convicted by scripture so we can change.
5 We should get along as the church; this does not mean we will always agree but means we should not allow our differences to keep us from working in Christ. All true believers share a faith even though there may differences with doctrine we share faith in our Lord Jesus. This is who connects us. The world would want us to argue so our effectiveness is not as much. I think great things happen when the church puts aside their differences and serve Christ together, praise Christ together.
6 This is why we need to come together because truly it is not about us but is about Him. Yes there are certain people we can not work with. Remember there came a time Paul could not work with Barnabas. Paul and Barnabas saw a differences they could not overcome and both went there was in serving the Lord, this sometimes happens but often times God does not lead us different ways we choose to go them ourselves and He allows us go that way.
