Liberal vs Libertarian

Trying to define Liberal, Libertarian, Republican, Independent, etc is an impossible task. We can only talk in generic terms.

Generically, I believe a liberal is one who claims to want to give freedom to others but in fact wants to impose their views on others. They believe in things like:

• Homosexuality
  
• Abortion
• Gun control
• Humanism as the national religion
  
• Socialism
• Legal drug use
• Open borders
  
• On the world scene, that you can discuss, compromise and negotiate honesty with all other countries
• Legislating forced acceptance of these things

For Libertarians:

• Homosexuality
• Abortion
  
• Humanism as the national religion
• laissez faire
• Legal drug use
• Open borders
  
• On the world scene, isolationism
• Legislate almost nothing

Now remember, these are my thoughts. I am sure others will disagree.
