Galatians 2:15-16 King James Version (KJV)

15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Galatians 2:15-16 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
15 We are Jews by birth, not so-called ‘Goyishe sinners’; 16 even so, we have come to realize that a person is not declared righteous by God on the ground of his legalistic observance of Torah commands, but through the Messiah Yeshua’s trusting faithfulness. Therefore, we too have put our trust in Messiah Yeshua and become faithful to him, in order that we might be declared righteous on the ground of the Messiah’s trusting faithfulness and not on the ground of our legalistic observance of Torah commands. For on the ground of legalistic observance of Torah commands, no one will be declared righteous.

15 The Jews viewed themselves as better than the nations or the Gentiles they viewed them as unworthy, they wanted them to become Jewish before accepting them into the Faith that Jesus brought. Being Jewish is a thing of birth we are all born sinners being Jewish does not stop our sin but Christ does forgive He is who we need to turn to not the Jewish faith but to the Lord Jesus.

16 We are fallen, we can not live up to the law, and we fall short of it. We are only made right thru our Faith in Him. People have always been made righteous because of their faith in the Lord. We can not do enough or ever be able to do enough to be justified; we are justified only by Him who is righteous.
