Ephesians 2:11-13

KJV11Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;12That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:13But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

WEB11Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “uncircumcision” by that which is called “circumcision,” (in the flesh, made by hands);12that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

11 We once lived only to please our flesh it was all we knew before we came to Christ we knowing Christ are no longer to live to please the flesh but live to please Him. Circumcision is a work of the flesh while God ordained it He did so for the Jewish people not for the Gentiles.

12 We have Christ and this connects us to Israel we are connected by Him not circumcision. We have promise found in Jesus not circumcision. It passes with life but Jesus defeated death and gives us life after death that the promise is not just bound to this life but to eternal life. Without Jesus we have no hope.

13 We are made new thru the blood of Christ we are no longer stranger to God’s blessings we are now children to the Father once we receive the blood of Jesus to cover our sins.
