The two brothers walked along the trail by the brook searching for plants to use to treat the pain of their existence. They came upon a cannabis plant and one brother took a small amount, ground it in his mortar, mixed it in a bit of alcohol and rubbed it on his sore knee and the pain in the knee joint was lessened. He then took a small amount of the sticky sap, smoked it in his pipe and found that it calmed his mind.
The other brother, seeing opportunity, collected as many of the plants as he could carry and took them home to study. He developed higher potency strains and worked out ways to eliminate the plant from universal use so he could sell it for profit, exploiting his fallen brothers and sisters.
The problem has never been with any herb God has made, but with evil man who exploits and ruins everything he touches …

10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
