Been trying my hand at making some knives in the forge.
The first one is made from a railroad spike.

    Another RR spike knife.

My first attempt at a friction folder, they were the first folding knives and only used friction to keep them open or closed.

    Another folder in deer antler.

    An all steel folder.

Good craftsmanship, ITW. Those would look great in a collection.

I love work like that, truly.

Made this one today from a old large hacksaw blade, i left the teeth on the top so it can be used to saw wood or bone.

I have a similar knife that my father made, do like your enhancement with the teeth on the heel.

. . . the secondhand hacksaw blade is top quality steel.

Thanks Sid, they`er pretty easy to make, cold grind to shape so theres no tempering issues. I suppose i`ll have to make a sheath for it now.

    Neat.

I have no doubt you could make some good money with knife collectors.

Unless, of course, you like them for yourself or presents.

Thanks, just something to do on these cold winter days, don`t like making too many of one thing. might make another ulu but bigger, maybe six inches accross these are only three inches wide.
