Archaeologists from Egypt and Germany have found a massive eight-meter statue submerged in ground water in a Cairo slum that they say probably depicts revered Pharaoh Ramses II, who ruled Egypt more than 3,000 years ago.

The discovery, hailed by the Antiquities Ministry as one of the most important ever, was made near the ruins of Ramses II's temple in the ancient city of Heliopolis, located in the eastern part of modern-day Cairo.

It gives some insight into OT times.

To WHO?
It's not the thread content but the glaring lack of participation form the
members.
Are there more than six members with a heartbeat still here?
Just askin'.
I'd abandon this site and join one with real participating membership but
I would not be helping this site one bit now would I?:biggrin1:

People just do not want to get involved with religion and politics.

I strongly disagree.
One "religious" site I visit has 35,000 members.
People do VOTE thus are "involved" in politics.
It's estimated that there are about 2.8 BILLION people world wide that identify as
"Christian".
I vote, thus read and try to make an informed vote.

As an aside some information:
As of 2005 (most recent data), approximately 88 percent of the world's population were said to "believe in God" (Cambridge University). This is down from 96 percent in 2000. In the United States, 95 percent of the population "believe in God."

Here in the U.S. 95% of the population believe in God.
We ARE a Christian nation founded by Christians.
google that.
Ever wonder why Islamic extremists attack places in the U.S.?
It would be far less trouble to attack Europe.
They DO attack Europe but attacking the U.S. is a Hallmark target.
France, Germany, and England, seem to be preferred targets.
If a gun, explosives, aren't handy then use a large truck to splatter people
all over the place.
Hijack an air liner and ram it into tall buildings.
Now that's a religion I could warm up to.:banghead::banghead:

Believing in a god does not make one Christian.

I am very aware of some large sites that call themselves Christian. That does not make it true or their beliefs healthy.
